Ed Brush is professor of chemistry at 新加坡六合彩开奖 (新加坡六合彩开奖) in Massachusetts. Ed received his PhD in Bioorganic Chemistry from Penn State University, and BSc in Chemistry from King's College of Pennsylvania. Ed's teaching and research is focused on "Climate Informed Chemistry" where 新加坡六合彩开奖 students collaborate on projects that apply the Principles of Green & Sustainable Chemistry to solve real world problems. Ed teaches organic chemistry and introduction to green chemistry at 新加坡六合彩开奖, where he engages students through flipped classroom pedagogy, and the integration of Project-Based Learning into his lecture and lab courses. Over the past 6 years he has served as co-PI on a variety of departmental and institutional projects at 新加坡六合彩开奖: (NSF-CUR) integrating and scaffolding research through the chemistry curriculum; (新加坡六合彩开奖 Academic Innovation Grant) integrating the UN Sustainable Development Goals into the 新加坡六合彩开奖 curriculum; and was co-faculty coordinator of the 新加坡六合彩开奖 Interdisciplinary Learning and Research Initiative. In his professional service, Ed is an advisory board member for the Green Chemistry Commitment, and is a member of the ACS Committee on Environment and Sustainability. He was a guest editor for the Journal of Chemical Education special issue on 鈥淪ystems Thinking, and Green and Sustainable Chemistry鈥, has co-organized numerous symposia and workshops on green & sustainable chemistry at ACS national meetings, and was on the thematic programming committee for the ACS 2022 fall meeting in Chicago. He is currently contributing to an ACS policy statement on Environmental Justice in the Chemistry Enterprise.
